Shaw’s Trailer Park are a modern garage/psych rock n roll band. Taking their name from the trailer park singer/songwriter, and founder, Tim Sanpher grew up on . T is joined by Mark Wilson (bass), Andy Fraser (drums), Simon Smith (guitar) and Donna Butler (backing vocals, percussion and sax). The story goes that in late 2021, whilst playing sideman in other bands, T started looking for musicians to bring together as a collective and work on his own songs. Slowly they arrived, first Mark who soon introduced drummer Andy. The three put in some months getting to learn each others styles and then, shortly before recording for the first time Simon Smith was added on second guitar, filling out and defining the STP sound. It was always the plan to incorporate female backing vocals and Donna Butler was the icing on the STP cake... it didn’t hurt she played saxophone too! The fully formed STP are more than a sum of their parts...T’s original idea of a garage rock n roll combo is now expanded to encompass Andy’s jazz tinged rhythms, Mark’s krautrock and world music leanings , Simon’s Americana interests and Donna’s art rock and folk dabblings.
